Artist’s Description – Abandoned Love
Abandoned Love captures the quiet moment when two souls remain close in body but distant in spirit. The figures share the same space, yet their emotional worlds no longer intersect. The front figure carries the weight of acceptance—eyes heavy, posture fragile—while the shadowed presence behind represents a love that still exists, but only as memory.
The sharp contrasts of blue and orange mirror the conflict between warmth and coldness, attachment and detachment. Faces are intentionally fragmented and unresolved, suggesting identities slowly dissolving after emotional separation. The absence of fine detail allows the viewer to project their own story into the silence between the two forms.
This work is not about anger or drama, but about the stillness that follows loss—the moment when love does not end loudly but fades into quiet distance.
